Who we are
All about FAIR, our Board and our staff.
FAIR (Family Advice and Information Resource) is an advice and information charity for children and adults with learning disabilities, their carers and families who live with them. It is a local Edinburgh based charity that works citywide. The charity’s aim is to promote the welfare of people with learning disabilities in the community.
To do this we provide
- advice and information including a Welfare Rights Service
- project work to promote positive mental and physical health
- an Easy Read newsletter every 2 months
- co-production and consultation to advocate for people with learning disabilities and their carers
- other services and projects were we feel will support people we work with
- an Easy Read design service
FAIR’s Board
FAIR’s Board of Trustees have range of skills and experience. The Board includes adults with a learning disability, carers and professionals that work in health and social care. They are:
